Sagrin craft brewery is located in Calamandrana, Piedmont, in a territory whose identity is deeply connected to the excellence of its winemaking production, at the crossroads of the UNESCO areas of Langhe, Roero e Monferrato.
The two partners Matteo “Billy” Billia and Giuseppe Luci designed the plant by themselves, following their twenty years’ experience and passion for brewing.The plant became then productive in 2015 with the ambition of combining the winemaking tradition of the territory with the creative approach of craft brewing.
Following the objective, the production was divided into three brands:
Bunpat brand: where the main feature of these beers is their unique freshness. They all have a low alcohol content, and each batch is certified as gluten free.
Classic brand, where the selection of the best raw materials and the obsessive care come together to recreate the most famous traditional styles.
IGA brand: the beating heart of the brewery, beers made with selected ingredients in collaboration with some of the best wineries of our territory.
Our philosophy is resumed in this hashtag, which means a lot to us:
- Believing in a style since when it didn’t even exist (the first Samos was produced and presented at Pianeta Birra in Rimini in 2007);
- Believing in a style as a guideline for the brewery, merging ideas from the wine world with those of the brewing world;
- Betting on the Italian Grape Ale style, culminating in a bronze medal at the BBC 2017 and 2019;
- Become our territory’s ambassadors, making our clients meet Langhe, Roero and Monferrato through the link with its excellences.
